FLAVOR: used to produce or mask a particular flavour, use restrictions;
PETROLATUM: non-reproductive organ system toxicity, use restrictions, contamination concerns;
D&C YELLOW 5 ALUMINUM LAKE: pigments or dyes precipitated with metal salts such as aluminum (proven to cause dementia), calcium, barium, or others. Most lake pigments are synthetically produced from coal tar or petroleum;
THEOBROMA CACAO (CACAO) SEED BUTTER: the only naturally derived ingredient and the last listed (which means it’s the thing used least in the makeup of the product)
environmental or personal harm. Ingredients can include petroleum derived base, artificial flavours, sweeteners, fragrances and colourings along with butyl paraben, amongst other nasties. Our bodies ingest up to 60% of what we apply onto it, so as part of the circular story of sustainability, this has to be considered too.
