To do it, you put 1-2tsp of coconut oil into your mouth, swish it around for a bit, and then let it sit for 20 minutes before spitting it out in the toilet (not the sink!). You can’t talk while you oil pull, so it’s a lovely way to transition out of bed in the morning stretching the snuggle session’s serenity.
Beyond the confidence boost, learning two or more languages is a proven asset for the cognitive process including being able to problem solve, multitask, stave off Alzheimers and Dementia, improve memory, and help with decision making … it also enhances your understanding of your mother tongue, which is an added bonus.

Thank so sharing your morning routine!! I've been working from home for little over a year now and my partner around three years. Recently it has taken its toll on me and I'm starting to feel lonely, anxious and depressed. Sometimes, I start working even before I've had breakfast and showered and reading your post has made me decide that I need a healthy morning routine to make me happier and more productive. Thanks for sharing lovely x

I should have spoken more about the lonely, anxious and depressed aspects of the freelancer's life, you're not alone in these feeling but I truly believe the only way to balance them is to start some healthy routines that sort of book end the day on both sides? I wish I'd done it sooner … thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment <3

It's always a pleasure to read your articles. I love discovering new ethical and sustainable brands. I think one of the reason I enjoy reading your blog is because of the research behind every article, and the links that allows us to learn more in depth about the subjects ! I tried oil pulling a few times but it's hard to make it a habit ! I am going to try addong another activity with it as you did with meditation.

Thank you for your warm words once again Mathilde – the oil pulling is a bit annoying but I've noticed a huge difference in my skin and also my mouth – all the nerve sensitivity and gum issues I was having have gone away … so its worth the discomfort! Thanks so much for sending these blogs over, I'm going to follow them now! xx
